This Lower Intermediate Spanish course is designed for learners who already have a basic foundation in the language and are ready to advance their proficiency. The program develops all four key language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—through a communicative approach that emphasizes active use of the language in meaningful contexts.

Ready to take your Spanish to the next level? Our Intermediate 1 course is perfect for learners want to grow their skills in a fun, interactive way.
You’ll develop all four key language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—with the guidance of a native Spanish teacher, practicing real-life situations and building confidence every step of the way.

Our 20-hour upper-intermediate course starts 18 September and runs for 10 weeks (excluding half term). Classes are every Thursday from 7–9 pm at Fulford Paris Council. With small groups of 4–12 learners, you’ll enjoy plenty of practice, feedback, and real progress in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Who
we are
Hola! I’m originally from vibrant Barcelona, but since 2017, I’ve called England home. I studied Philosophy and Education at university—two fields that shaped how I see the world and how I connect with others. Although my early career took me into marketing, I eventually found my true calling: teaching Spanish.
But for me, teaching Spanish is much more than grammar and vocabulary. It’s about opening a window into a whole world—sharing the music, literature, food, and traditions that make Spanish-speaking cultures so rich and diverse. Whether I’m working with adults, teens, or children, I see every lesson as an opportunity to build bridges between cultures.
Today, I teach at the Instituto Cervantes and York Learning, where I get to do what I love every day: help people connect with the Spanish language and everything that comes with it
